Tennessee Month-to-Month Lease Agreement
The Tennessee monthly lease, as described in 66-28-512 , allows for the landlord and tenant to come to a standard agreement for the use of residential space except that this type does not contain an end date to the contract. This means that as long as thirty (30) days’ notice is given, either party may cancel and terminate the lease. This offers both parties the option to create a relaxed arrangement with no set timetable, although all landlord-tenant laws remain in effect (All Laws – Title 66 Chapter 28)
- It is highly recommended that the landlord verify the tenant’s information (credit, employment, and references) with the rental application.
- Lead-Based Paint – Requirement for housing built before 1978.
