Texas Residential Lease Agreement
The Texas residential lease agreement is a template that is fillable between a landlord and tenant that allows a property owner to enter into a binding relationship for allowing space to be used for livable purposes in exchange for monthly payment. The length of the agreement is typically one (1) year although it may be written to be for a fixed term.
How to Write
Once the tenant has shown interest in the property the landlord should check the tenant’s credit, background, and any references provided to see if they are qualified for a lease. If approved, the tenant should be signed to an agreement immediately and if the they have shown to be somewhat of a hazard to the premises, the landlord should require a higher than average (2 to 3 months) of a security deposit.
