West Virginia Residential Lease Agreement
The West Virginia standard residential lease is the most common type in the State and allows for the landlord and tenant to come to terms for a fixed term. The fixed period is typically a year and if the space is vacant they may ask to move-in early for the pro-rated amount of time.

Before such an agreement is signed the landlord will typically ask for the individual(s) moving-in to the unit personal and employment information with the rental application. There may also be a fee in conducting this verification on behalf of the landlord and to cover the processing of the administrative and credit costs.
Lead Paint – This is the only attachment required as per federal law and is only for residences built prior to 1978.
