Colorado Residential Lease Agreement
The standard Colorado residential lease is simple and easy for the tenant and landlord to agree on the basic terms and conditions that outline the contract. Usually a one (1) year agreement, it can begin once the landlord and tenant agree to the conditions of the terms, sign their names, pay the security deposit (optional), and once the tenant pays the first month’s rent entry shall be granted.
Before the landlord signs the agreement allowing the tenant to live in the property, it is highly recommended that the landlord takes the time to complete a background check (via the rental application) on the individual applying for the tenant position. The landlord can discover pertinent facts that can sway his or her decision on allowing the individual to live in the property.
